Hey there!

ree

I made a list of movies, I have always wanted to watch but never really had the time to. I want to watch all of them and blog about some of the takeaways I've learnt from these movies.

The first movie I watched was "he's just not that into you", I actually had kind of watched it previously but I feel like this movie had some messages that truly resonate with me.

First, men are trash. I'm kidding. However, what needs to be said is that, men and women do not think alike. I do not have enough experience to be a relationship advisor or anything like that but I do think that as a girl, the way we think just is not applicable to the actions men take.

This leads to my second point, as much as you and your girlfriends can analyse the behaviours of the lucky suitor, it does not mean anything. Honestly, unless they are upright about it, you should never make assumptions. (I mean the movie kind of pushed this out of the door with the ending but... take this with a pinch of salt) As cliche as it sounds, if you know you know, if you have doubts and is currently trying to guess what he thinks, do not overthink it.

Lastly, know what you want. Know your wants and your bottom lines, knowing this makes it easier for you to convey them and pursue them. The movie portrays Janine as someone who has what seemed to be a "perfect marriage" but her husband had broken her bottom line, and in the end she left this life behind to explore herself. Unlike Janine, Beth knows what she wants but never pursued it fully, and only when she realised Neil was "against" marriage that she broke up with him, of course, they did reconcile and have a happily ever after, but my takeaway is that, relationships only work when you emphasise how important a certain aspect of it truly is. Never lose yourself.

Enjoy!
