Skills For Good - Skill-based volunteering in Singapore

Hey guys! Sorry for being missing in action for a week! I'm back! You may be wondering why I went missing for a bit, well I joined an exciting project - Skills For Good - a social enterprise with some of my peers.

I joined the venture Skills for Good with fellow passionate NTU undergraduates, aiming to leverage on this one-stop skilled volunteer matching platform and drive social change amid and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic.

As head of marketing, I strive to create a community that believes in our cause. I inform them of our projects and mission through creating eye-catching social media posts and optimizing our website through SEO while engaging in email marketing for volunteer recruitment. Our target outreach includes but not limited to undergraduates, alumni, school offices, and societies, as well as industry professionals.

In the marketing team, I focus on creating marketing campaigns on Instagram to reach out to our target audience and make sure awareness is spread through utilizing Instagram ads, designing posts, analyzing the best timings to post and type of content etc. In the first 2 days of launching my Instagram campaign, we have grown from 16 sign ups to about 250 sign ups and we are excited to continue to grow our talent pool of volunteers!
